Centrifugation Module - Image Processing

Task

The centrifugation module in the system does not have position control. We needed to find a way to make the pipette probe to locate the vials correctly

  • Performed image processing after centrifuge the samples to acquire the location of each vials.

  • Achieved Accuracy within 1 degree to successfully draw samples from target vials

Wiring Management

Task

After adding multiple new modules to our system. The wiring became messy and unorganized which needed to be improved for the final product

Chip Cover Redesign

Task

Previous design of the chip cover required using the pipette probe to open and close cover, which is not only a time consuming operation also resulted in the need of frequent calibration
